I recently purchased this folding chicken coop, and it has been a game-changer for my backyard poultry setup! First off, the portability is unbeatable—when folded, it’s compact enough to store in my garage without taking up half the space of my old wooden coop. Setting it up takes less than 10 minutes, even alone, thanks to the clear instructions and snap-together design. Durability-wise, it’s impressive. The steel frame feels sturdy, and the mesh wiring is tight enough to keep predators out while letting plenty of ventilation in. My hens seem happy—there’s enough room for 4-5 standard-sized chickens to roost, nest, and scratch around comfortably. I also love that the top opens fully, making it super easy to clean out droppings or collect eggs without having to reach awkwardly. One minor downside is that the floor isn’t reinforced, so I added a layer of hardware cloth underneath to prevent digging predators from getting in. But that’s a quick fix, and honestly, the convenience of folding it up for seasonal storage or moving it around the yard far outweighs this small issue. Overall, if you’re looking for a practical, space-saving chicken coop that’s easy to assemble and maintain, this folding model is worth every penny. Highly recommend!
The metal mesh is industrial – grade—no sharp edges, super smooth but tough. When I opened the box, I thought “This’ll be a pain to build”… nope! Instructions were clear, parts fit snug. Wheels attach in seconds. Worth every penny.
Summer? Stick it in the shade. Winter? Drag it to the sunny spot. Parts come apart easy, two people can carry it. Not usin’ it? Disassemble, stick in the shed—don’t take up space. Way more flexible than a fixed coop, that’s for sure.
